This is a summary of an episode performed during Improvised Star Trek's initial live run at iO Chicago from October 17, 2009 through May 8, 2010. The adventures continue wherever you listen to podcasts.

The USS Sisyphus' delivery to medical transport ship MedOne is complicated when the ship fails to respond to hails, and Cmdr. Hayes orders Lt. Cola and Lt. Fassbinder to transport over to the ship, assess the situation and take control. But a torpedo misfire from the Sisyphus rocks the transport, and the situation quickly escalates to an out-of-control starship showdown, with Lt.s Cola and Fassbinder allying themselves with MedOne's confused and malfunctioning computer to fight off their own ship. Soon the two vessels are caught in a back-and-forth of escalating power-plays and ruses.

The Sisyphus' new hotshot shuttle pilot Rick Raxter completes the medicine delivery but covertly places a biological weapon(a Fear Bomb invented by Science Officer Watson)on MedOne; unaware of his handiwork Cola & Fassbinder abduct the science officer; Cmdr. Hayes seemingly tries to end hostilities by surrendering, but sends a disguised Counselor Japhy in his place. Though his identity is revealed under interrogation Counselor Japhy manages to get a hold of the Fear Bomb, but instead of detonating it he has the Sisyphus's Computer replace it, via transporter, with a Love Bomb(also created by Watson, who was very keen to hide it from the Counselor).

On the MedOne bridge both bombs seemingly detonate mid-transport, and while waiting for their dosage of the biological agent to hit the Counselor takes the opportunity to talk through the Fears and Loves of the crew. After a few personal breakthroughs the Counselor asks the computer to End Program. Cmdr Hayes arrives with LtCmdr Raxter and reveals the truth: MedOne was destroyed while Lt.'s Cola and Fassbinder were en route to the transporter room, and rather than waste an opportunity for a good wargame simulation Cmdr. Hayes, Counselor Japhy, and the Computer contrived for everything that followed to playout on the ship's holodeck. If the crew can fight outside threats as masterfully as they fight one another, the Sisyphus can count itself safe indeed.
