This is a summary of an episode performed during Improvised Star Trek's initial live run at iO Chicago from October 17, 2009 through May 8, 2010. The adventures continue wherever you listen to podcasts.

The crew of the USS Sisyphus is sent by Starfleet to Achyon 4 to investigate rumors of a mysterious pizza-worshiping cult. En route the crew rendezvous with a transport delivering Councilor Japhy Whitman's parents, Pappy & Mammy Whitman, who decide to invite themselves along for the mission. The Whitman's are sex councilors from Risa, and their presence causes great discomfort for Japhy. He at first tries to pawn them off on the ships Holographic Tour Guide, but he cannot keep them separated from the rest of the crew for long and soon Mammy Whitman has engaged Captain Baxter in long, intense therapy session. Pappy Whitman swings with it and accompanies the rest of the crew as they beam down to seek out the pizza cult.

Pappy Whitman wanders off while Lorem, Watson, and Japhy seek out an underground pepperoni mine after receiving directions from a holographic tourist greeter who looks suspiciously like the holographic tour guide from their own ship. There they meet gnome-like creatures who, having been exposed to pizza by humans, have built a religion around the cuisine (point for the Prime Directive). While initially friendly, the cultists soon steal a phaser and use the handcuff setting to capture the crew. The cult then reveals they intend to cook the Starfleet officers into a giant pizza in order to honor their conception of the Circle of Life. Which: Pizza are also circles. You get it.

Waking from his therapy session, Captain Baxter notices that the crew had been gone for too long and goes to investigate. Unbeknownst to him, Mammy Whitman had beamed down ahead of him, reunited with Pappy and led a rescue of the crew on their own. Japhy is aghast at the raw sexuality of his parents rescue, which leaves the pizza-worshiping gnomes dead, just in time for Captain Baxter, who has retraced their steps, to arrive too late to offer aid. Mammy and Pappy then depart, leaving the crew, save for Japhy, grateful for their sexy visit.
